GEORGETOWN -- Guests at
ENO Wine Bar received more than an education in fine spirits (and cigars) on Tuesday evening.
Indeed, the popular Georgetown eatery and bar was closed to the general public for much of the evening, as a stream of philanthropically-minded D.C. notables flowed through its doors for the annual 'Taste of Fight Night' celebration.
Organized by
Fight For Children as a way of formally kicking-off the 2014
Fight Night festivities (the main event will take place on November 13th), the occasion was made all the more special by the fact that this year will serve as the enormously successful fundraiser's banner 25th anniversary.
Helping underscore the nonprofit's continued commitment to low income area children in promoting both quality education and healthcare initiatives, Fight For Children has partnered this year with
National Education Week.
Beyond the obvious shared interest in tackling educational challenges, the two organizations boast many of the same prominent supporters amongst the government, business, and academic communities.
