GEORGETOWN -- Cady's Alley teamed with energy on Wednesday night as
Ladies DC held its first event of the new year at the
award-winning late night hotspot known as
L2 Lounge.
Founded in 2006 by
Lindsey Mask with the simple premise of "women helping women," the organization's goal is to provide extraordinary women who share a desire to succeed, with unique and fun networking opportunities through which they can connect with one another and learn about their local communities.
While Ladies DC began as purely a Washington-centric group, its membership base has quickly swelled to close to 1,000 and now counts chapters in New York, Texas, and California.
Last night's gathering invited members and guests to L2 Lounge for an evening of "pampering and professional networking" that showcased the services of a variety of area businesses:
- The Still Point holistic spa, a woman-owned business, provided guided body energy readings.
- Georgetown's own O Salon had two beauty stations set up for complimentary bang trims, eyebrow threading, and hair styling.
- A David Palmer Salon treated guests to upscale manicures.
- The Wellness Spa at the Mount Vernon Athletic Club pampered ladies with a variety of massage therapies.
- Astrology lovers were delighted by the palm readings provided by Dupont Circle-based The Psychic Shop.
- The sweet smell of success that circulated throughout the night came courtesy of ScentAir.
And naturally, L2 Lounge's inviting interior served as the perfect host venue with Membership Director (and Ladies DC member)
Leah Dyrud ensuring a steady stream of complimentary cartons of popcorn for guests and the venue's gifted mixologists crafting a series of specialty cocktails for the night, including a spiked "Savvy & Sassy" hot chocolate and vodka-infused "Lipstick in the District" and "Savoir-Faire" drinks.
Professional pampering. Perfect!
