Barbie's Life In Plastic, It's Fantastic @ Georgetown's L2 Lounge!

GEORGETOWN -- Blonde hair and hot pink dresses, hot pink skirts, and hot pink tops were in vogue on Friday night, as L2 Lounge opened its exclusive doors to District residents for a playfully-themed evening.

Billed simply as the "Barbie & Ken Do Georgetown" party, the much-admired venue was jam-packed by midnight with hundreds of enthusiastic guests donned in appropriately fun and colorful attire.

Well known for serving some of the best drinks in Georgetown, freshly prepared cocktails flowed freely from the bars throughout the night. The venue's always beautiful wait staff was itself even in full costume!

With Barbie memorabilia tastefully scattered throughout the seductively lit rooms of L2, and Barbie animations vividly projected onto the walls, it didn't take much to get the crowd in the mood as they humorously (but enthusiastically) mimicked the action figures' rigid range of motion on the dance floor.

Hosts Stefanie Ball, Lindsey Mask, Ray Regan, Leah Dyrud, and Andrew Bullion clearly went all out for the celebration, having had two life-size "Ken" and "Barbie" doll boxes specially constructed in which guests could take pictures to remember the occasion.

Other movers and shakers who stopped-by included: Matt Schwartz / Rolling Stone Contributor H.E. W. Nelson Lewis / Art Soiree's Sandro & Tati / Betsey Johnson's Jenny Zinn / GoG's Madeleine Starkey.

So Washington, as Aqua once sang: Come jump in / Be my friend / Let us do it again / Hit the town / Fool around / Let's go party!
