The Guest List:
NORTHWEST -- The inside of the District's historic Homer Building found itself awash in a sea of color on Friday evening, for the inaugural Future of America Gala hosted by David Pattinson's American Future (dpaf).

The upscale tone of the celebration, which drew hundreds of the city's young professionals, was clear from the party's onset, with a row of shiny new BMWs lining the building's exterior courtesy of sponsor Passport BMW.

Once inside, guests sipped on a variety of cocktails and supped on an endless buffet of hors d'oeuvres freshly prepared by Glover Park's Slate Wine Bar & Bistro.

To help fuel the dance floor of the late night bash, event organizers enlisted the help of two bands with the Trophy Bros DJing the opening and closing and Atlanta-based Culture Sol serving as the headlining act.

While the tone of Friday night's party was decidedly festive, the purpose was quite serious. Due to a 'perfect storm' of socioeconomic factors, the country's 'Millennial' generation has found itself mired in recent years by chronic problems of joblessness, underemployment, and debt.

In founding dpaf, David Pattinson sought to take action against this so-called 'Great Youth Depression' by promoting quality career development for young Americans, where academic qualifications directly translate into financial independence.

But no one said getting a job couldn't be fun as well, right?
