The Guest List:
PENN QUARTER -- Sending a literal shiver down the spines of Washingtonian parents everywhere, Feld Entertainment's production of Disney On Ice: Treasure Trove arrived at the Verizon Center on Wednesday evening.

And before families took the playful plunge down the proverbial rabbit hole for opening night, a lucky group of D.C. notables was invited to join Mickey, Minnie, and seemingly every princess on this side of the Magic Kingdom for a special VIP party.

Beyond providing their children with the opportunity for some quality one-on-one time with the world's most famous rodent (sorry Remy), the festive occasion also gave them the chance to sample some special non-alcoholic 'mocktails' prepared by four of the District's top (alcohol) mixologists.

And while the final vote was close between Bourbon Steak's Duane Sylvestre, Founding Farmers' Jon Arroyo, and Restaurant Eve's Todd Thrasher, ultimately it was Buffalo & Bergen's Gina Chersevani who took home the top honor as the 2013 winner of the 'Madhatter Tea Challenge', as presented to her by evening emcee and 94.7 Fresh FM radio host Tommy McFLY.

But with heart shaped sandwiches, colorful sugar cookies, and play top hats galore, everyone walked away winners last night. Especially after digging into an all-too-beautiful slice of appropriately themed Madhatter cake, lovingly baked by Kendall's Cake.

Definitely one very important date for which no one wanted to be late.
