WEST END -- With cooler temperaments prevailing during the third and final Presidential debate on Monday night, the occasion served as the perfect opportunity for the West End’s posh A BAR + Kitchen to launch revised libation and food menus specifically designed for fall.

Monday’s Debate Party

Embracing the politically-entrenched nature of the District, beverage manager Brennan Adams has introduced a series of new cocktail specials playfully inspired by each of the Presidential candidates and their stylish wives.

Regardless of party affiliation, however, crossing the menu aisle to the savory side of things is a no brainer thanks to the well appointed venue’s savory new autumnal selections, including a colorful Butternut Squash Soup with Mascarpone and a filling Grilled Chicken Breast dish complete with sweet potato, roasted squash, and brown butter.

For those searching for something with a bit more ‘heat’, a platter of Ancho Chicken Sliders with chipotle, cilantro crema, and queso fresco will surely fit the bill.

And a plate of artfully Seared Scallops with saffron risotto, mushrooms, and buerre monte is sufficiently rich to make even the most frustrated politico temporarily forget about his/her budget woes.
