The Guest List:
NORTHWEST -- From Tuesday, June 26th through Sunday, July 1st, the AT&T National golf tournament will return to the Washington metropolitan area at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland.

New for 2012, however, will be an exclusive VIP viewing experience dubbed ‘District on the Green’ to be held during the third round of the championship on Saturday, June 30th.

Hosted by Darrell Green, Kathryn Rand, Bob Okun, Winston Lord, Holidae Hayes, Brian Mitchell, and Fritz Brogan, ‘Green’ will offer participants an all-inclusive package overlooking the 18th green, with nothing but the finest amenities available at the championship.

While VIPs won’t walk away with AT&T National’s $6.5 million purse, they will be treated to a gourmet menu, including afternoon hors d’oeuvres by Chef Jose Andres, a deluxe mixology bar, VIP parking, and access to the on-course Grey Goose Lounge, among many other benefits.

Like the tournament itself, proceeds from ‘District on the Green’ will benefit the Tiger Woods Foundation, which strives to make a college degree accessible to disadvantaged D.C. area youth. In keeping with such a goal, the non-profit recently celebrated the expansion of the Tiger Woods Learning Center, with the launch of two campuses in Wards 6 and 7.

In order to build upon the mounting excitement for the PGA Tour’s top summer attraction and fete the announcement of the inaugural ‘District on the Green’ experience, dozens of the city’s philanthropists, business leaders, and media personalities turned-out early Wednesday evening for an exclusive kickoff party held at Andres’ Zaytinya restaurant.

Between bites of savory Turkish fare and sips of chilled wine, guests mingled with representatives from the Tiger Woods Foundation and many of their soon-to-be ‘Green’ hosts. Some were even brave enough to try their hand at a round of miniature golf that had been setup on the patio.

Par for the (charitable) course…
