GEORGETOWN -- Tortoise shell glasses and fedoras were on full display on Friday evening, as over a hundred stylish D.C. residents crowded into Georgetown’s historic City Tavern Club for the private venue’s first ‘Mad Men’ party.

Organized exclusively for the club’s Membership Committee and a select group of friends, including hosts Michael Brody, Ross Cameron, Caroline Gould, Jonathan J. Harsch, Trent Hartwig, Perry Rosen, Kishore Thota, Nate Vanderploeg, and Tom Qualtere, the sold-out soiree was intentionally kept ‘closed door’ in order to ensure an intimate and relaxed atmosphere.

While the entirety of the building itself was left free to explore by Friday’s guests, the bulk of the ‘Mad’ action took place in the City Tavern Club’s second-story Bliss Room and on the adjoining outdoor terrace. There, a variety of ’60s-era decorations and cultural cues had been thoughtfully positioned, including a striking period piece cigarette machine and variety of throwback fashion paraphernalia (e.g., fedoras, umbrellas, etc.).

Ego Brown shoe shines!

For those gentlemen in attendance, a particular highlight of the night came from a pop-up shoe shining station that had been setup near the building’s staircase courtesy of D.C.’s famed Ego Brown.

All-in-all, the Bettys were beautiful and the would-be Don Drapers dapper. …A ‘Mad’ party to be sure!
