Washingtonians Warm-Up Next To White House At Gilt City Winter Cocktail Party Atop W Washington, D.C.!

NORTHWEST -- The W Washington, D.C. hotel welcomed the arrival of chillier temperatures on Tuesday evening, with an exclusive winter cocktail party co-hosted by luxe local experience provider Gilt City D.C., on its famed rooftop terrace overlooking the city.

Immediately after stepping out of the elevator, guests were whisked away into a winter wonderland, complete with faux snow, (real) skis, and a seemingly endless supply of warm libations from P.O.V’s new cold weather cocktail menu.

Indeed, the award-winning lounge’s lead bartender, Joe Ambrose, manned the party’s bustling bar throughout the entire event, serving-up newly conjured and freshly prepared cocktails, including mugs of Hot Apple Butter Rum (rum, apple butter, spices), Pumpkin Cider (vodka, pumpkin cider, spices), Whiskey Skin (scotch, lemon peel, sugar, hot water), and Sheridan’s Coffee (Jameson, brown sugar, cream).

Between sips, ticketholders were free to sample from an endless supply of seasonal small bites, such as mini bison burgers, mini croquet monsieurs, and tater tots topped with truffle oil or parmesan and herbs. And let’s not forget the well-staffed s’more station that let those with a sweet tooth indulge in an endless supply of the toasted, gooey winter treat!

To burn-off some of the calories consumed, the adventurous could hit the (virtual) slopes thanks to a Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect-enabled entertainment lounge, showcasing the just released Kinect Sports: Season Two bestselling game.

For those just looking to relax, the hotel’s own Bliss spa was standing by with a “Bliss Blizzard Bar” that offered-up trademark mini spa treatments, along with plenty of terrific cold weather skincare swag (think complimentary containers of Lemon+Sage Body Butter, etc.).

All the while, ski bunnies clad in the latest gear from Ski Chalet mingled about the fashionable crowd, prepared to offer-up skiing and snowboarding tips. Guests who wished to dress for the occasion also had the creative option of donning the latest collections from UGG Australia and even snap a pose inside an onomonoMEDIA photobooth as a keepsake.
