FRIENDSHIP HEIGHTS -- Fall fashion took a decidedly philanthropic twist on Saturday morning, with hundreds of the District’s most stylish do-gooders turning out for a special champagne brunch benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, at Neiman Marcus’ Mazza Gallerie>flagship location.

This year’s benefit – a much looked forward to annual affair – was hosted by Executive Co-Chairs Terri Phelps Carr, Amy Bischoff, and April Jones Firoozabadi and highlighted the Fall 2011 Collection of Armani Collezioni.

“Armani Collezioni’s Fall collection is perfect for the polished women of Washington and St. Jude is one of the most renown charitable hospitals in our community; we could not be more excited about the opportunity to work with both of them,” said Martha Slagle, General Manager for Neiman Marcus Mazza Gallerie.

100% of the proceeds from the crowded event (tickets sold for $150/each) benefited St. Jude directly and Armani Collezioni Vice President Stephanie Cozzi had even travelled to Washington specifically for the occasion.

A flurry of intricate leather craftsmanship, chic fur accents, and rich purple hues, the 2011 fall collection is classically elegant and modern. Basically, it’s classically Armani.

And while the models surely dazzled while strutting their way down the second-floor runway, it was the adorable two-and-a-half year old daughter (a former patient at St. Jude) of Captain Duggan who clearly stole the show!
