NORTHWEST -- With the date of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Grand Finale Gala quickly approaching on Saturday, candidates for the non-profit’s friendly ‘Man & Woman of the Year’ competition are enthusiastically racing to raise the most amount of money before the final totals are tallied.

Wednesday evening, Women for Women International’s Glenda Fu rolled-out the biggest fundraiser of her campaign, with a crowded runway show held inside the contemporary walls of K Street Lounge.



After enjoying a mix of passed small bites and trays of various colorful libations, guests took their seats to enjoy a live fashion show -- featuring the latest summer designs by Nicole Miller -- modeled by professional volunteers, leukemia survivors, and their friends and family.


HOT 99.5 radio host Sarah Fraser served as the night’s emcee, quickly revving the audience-up in preparation for the event’s main fashion event.

And while the adult models received heartfelt rounds of applause from attendees, it was clearly the kids on the runway that stole the show, with standing waves of cheers and smiles.
