Love Bites Georgetown On Valentine’s Day At L2 Lounge!

GEORGETOWN -- It’s not you. It’s not us. LOVE (just) BITES. Or so went the invitation at least to Monday night’s Valentine’s Day party held inside the tony walls of the Cady’s Alley nightspot known as L2 Lounge.

Designed as a “toast to single life in the city” and co-hosted by SCi’s Kenneth Suarez and KKC’s Katherine Kennedy, the all night celebration highlighted the “other side of romance.”

As DJ Dmitris Georgeo infused Georgetown’s most high-profile lounge with chart-topping dance and club favorites, guests were free to have their Polaroid taken in front of a makeshift “Wall of Shame” (playful signs read “Serial Dater”, “Love Bites”, and “Dignity Free”) or a life-sized “Cupid’s Arrow” photo stand provided by Sandro Keres and Tati Pas' Art Soiree series.

L2’s beautiful hostesses and bartending staff were themselves awash in various shades of pink, red, and crimson and an entire specialty cocktail menu had been crafted just for the evening by manager and gifted mixologist Oscar A. Colque-Michel, including a pomegranate-topped “Get Lucky” (Nicolas Feuillatte NV, Elder Flower Essence), a rich “One Night Stand” (Stoli Vodka, Bailey’s Irish Cream, White Crème de Cacao), and a positively sinful “French Threesome” (Pierre Ferrand 10-year, Cointreau, Faretti Biscotti Liqueur).

And as night turned to morning and the drinks flowed liberally, it wasn’t surprising to find friends/couples/friendly couples crowding the “Body Painting Station” for some personal touches for their outfits or stealing away to the lounge’s designated “Kissing Booth” for a few minutes of fun.

Apparently, love really does bite sometime…
