NORTHWEST -- A handful of the city’s swinging singles received a business class upgrade to their Valentine’s Day weekend on Thursday night, as the social, professional, and philanthropically-minded website known as
Pamela’s Punch co-hosted a crowded “singles soiree”, along with the
Sofitel Washington D.C. at Lafayette Square.
And the invitation to “mix and mingle” clearly proved too good to pass-up, as dozens of well-dressed Washingtonians crowded into the luxury hotel’s reception area just outside its “Paris Ballroom,” for a night of lively conversation fueled by cocktails and appetizers – each playfully infused with aphrodisiac qualities and ingredients.
All may be fair in love and war, but the odds were clearly stacked in guests’ favor during the evening’s raffle component, with sponsors continuously donating an increasing number of prizes.
Thanks to Punch founder
Pamela Sorensen’s many friends, a few lucky attendees walked away with gifts as luxurious as dinner for two at
ICI Urban Bistro, complimentary car service from
Reston Limousine, and even free business class airfare for two to Paris courtesy of
OpenSkies airlines.
Looks like love will literally be in the air this Valentine’s Day!
