Washington was all about
Washingtonian on Wednesday evening, as the venerable publication celebrated its 50th anniversary with an exclusive celebration inside the
National Museum of Women in the Arts.
Media group President and Publisher
Catherine Merrill Williams and her family greeted guests inside the doorway to the building, with the surrounding walls adorned with magazine covers from years past.
And she surely had her hands full as seemingly all of D.C. turned out for the chance to toast one of the region's most trusted sources of lifestyle content. White House officials? James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs? Members of Congress? Check, check, and check.
Also spotted were
Washington Post Publisher
Fred Ryan and
POLITICO Publisher Robert Allbritton, among countless other news anchors and journalists. Their presence serves as a reminder of the enormous impact
Washingtonian has made on the D.C. media landscape over the past half-century.
Centennial celebration plans surely can't be far behind...
