Dupont Circle experienced a renewed renaissance of its very own this week courtesy of the neighboring
Renaissance hotel's standard standout hospitality.
Indeed, fresh from the success of a sold out national spring tour,
The Lone Bellow took up temporary residency inside the hotel's stylish lounge, for a special one-night-only performance.
Thanks undoubtedly to a good night's rest beforehand (yes, the band stayed at the hotel), the award-winning folk trio delivered a near one-hour set to a crowded room full of lucky guests.
The exclusive soiree was the latest installment of Renaissance's signature global music experience. Dubbed the Navigator Live Series, the multi-platform music program delivers on the hotel's commitment to provide culture-seeking travelers with new music and unexpected live experiences during their stays.
Now in its second year, the series counts
Tove Lo,
A-Trak,
AWOLNATION, in addition to The Lone Bellow, of course, among the participating artists confirmed for 2015. Navigator Live also now boasts
Billboard magazine as a partner, which has only further solidified its commitment to highlighting newly-discovered talent.
In addition to Wednesday's concert, guests were treated to a variety of 'sip', 'savor', and 'see'-themed treats, such as craft cocktails and beers from native D.C. distilleries and breweries, tasty Korean barbeque bites from
Kogiya, and, of course, a photobooth crammed full of costumes and props.
Mic drop.
